The Brown Museum version of the Wolverine statue is an example of the innate talent of Randy Bowen as a sculptor and shows many of the main features of his style: clear and elegant traits, simplicity and elegance, excellent proportions, faithfulness to Comic books. Usually, the result is a fine collectible, able to represent a Marvel character at best and equipped with a great charm and appeal! This statue was released in 2008, with an edition size of 1500 samples. Logan stays erect in a static, frontal pose, with the head slightly rotated on the left and clenched fists, both the arms downwards and the lethal adamatium claws in good evidence. The body is compact and powerful, with very well defined muscles on abdomen, arms and legs and, in spite of the limited height, the overall figure shows a great elegance, due to the slender legs and the slim waistline. The arms are herculean: they give the feeling of a great strength, with bumped biceps and triceps, and show a just sketched down on both sides, realized with a great care. The visual impact is assured by the bright colors of the brown suit: the yellow patches are rich of orange nuances, while the dominant dark brown points out any muscle contour by darker shades; a large belt with a golden buckle stands out at waistline and the claws also have a metallic appearance. The face of the hero is as simple as beautiful: the nose covered by the yellow patch of the mask, the perfect contour of the chin, the large, semi-rigid and black flaps at sides and the two white eyes give to the whole figure an austere and elegant expressiveness. As for the amazing twin statue of the Faux Bronze line, the piece is equipped with two circular bases, useful to change the heigth of display, while the support of the figure shows the classic "X" logo of the mutants' team. In conclusion, a very attractive piece, representing at best this alternative and very well-known version of the Wolverine's costume.
